This article describes the steps for getting access to IROC.
Authenticating and Accessing IROC
- Authenticating into the FAMAuth Dashboard – Go to https://famauth.wildfire.gov and click either eAuth or Login.gov, depending on which one you have.
- Select IROC – Select IROC from the Wildland Fire Application Portal - FAMAuth.
- Request a FAMAuth Account – If you don’t have an existing FAMAuth account, request one.
If you already have a FAMAuth account, skip this step. - Request IROC Access – If you don’t have an existing IROC account, request one.
If you already have an IROC account, skip this step - Access IROC – When you get to this step, you’ll be logged into IROC directly.
1. Authenticating into the FAMAuth Dashboard
FAMAuth is a portal that hosts Fire and Aviation Applications. IROC uses FAMAuth to authenticate users when logging in. There are two paths of authentication: e-Authentication (eAuth) and Login.gov. The URL for the FAMAuth dashboard is https://famauth.wildfire.gov.
- If you have a federal PIV card (Lincpass), select Government (eAuth). Select your agency to continue.
Each agency will have different login procedures. Contact your agency's help desk for login issues. - If you have a Login.gov account, select Public partners (Login.gov).
2. Selecting IROC from the FAMAuth Dashboard
There are two views to select from:

- After logging in, you will be see the FAMAuth dashboard showing all available applications. Click the IROC tile to launch the application.
- You will be asked if you have a FAMAuth account. If you do it will ask for your email address and will send you a PIN. Enter that PIN and it will link your account.

3. Requesting a FAMAuth Account
- Request access to IROC by clicking on the IROC tile.
- In the Enter User Information tab of the Request Access screen, fill in the required information (as indicated by asterisks) and click Next.
4. Requesting Access to IROC
- In the Request Application Access tab of the Request Access screen, select the application and the instance. Then fill in the information for the individual who can validate your need to access IROC.
- When done, click Submit.
5. Accessing IROC
- If you are unable to access the Dispatch Portal, reach out to your Dispatch Manager to request the appropriate role. (See Organization Access for Dispatchers.)
